I KNOW YOU...
AND YOU MATTER
Below, you will find some life saving things I’ve learned along my journey to regain sanity, hope, and a future.
I have learned that it is possible for the mom of an addict to not only survive their child’s addiction, but to find peace and even happiness in their own lives again.
I have learned that detaching with love, not living in someone else's addiction, doesn’t take away the "love" for your child.
I have learned that only by saving ourselves, only by working on our recovery, can we be strong enough to help the addict we love when they are ready for recovery.
I have learned acceptance, gratitude, grace and compassion.
I have learned the difference between expectations and hope.
I have learned to let go of my anger, my fear, my anxiety.
I have learned to live, and am still a work in progress.
Our lives matter.
Our happiness matters.
My prayer is that all of you will find something here that helps you grow, learn and find peace. It’s waiting just for you.
